Tebay still the winner

Robert Tebay, a Republican candidate for the Wood County Commission who tried to pull out of the primary election, but missed the deadline, gained another 12 votes, according to canvass this morning of the election returns.

No 2. finisher Roger Brown gained three votes, county elections officers said.

Tebay won the Republican nomination last Tuesday by 21 votes over Brown, 1,614 to 1,593.

With Monday’s canvass of the returns Tebay has 1,626 votes to Brown’s 1,596.
