Hammers facing 14 felony charges
ELIZABETH – Fourteen felony charges have been filed against three Wirt County men for the alleged sexual assault of a related minor, officials said.
Randy L. Hammer, 61, and sons Thomas R. Hammer, 23, and Paul R. Hammer, 25, all of 8793 Munday Road in Elizabeth, were arrested this week by West Virginia State Police in a case involving a 15-year-old female.
According to magistrate court records, Randy Hammer was charged with eight counts: first-degree sexual assault, two counts of incest, sexual abuse by a parent or guardian, two counts of sexual abuse, first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sexual assault.
Paul Hammer was charged with first-degree sexual assault, incest and first-degree sexual abuse.
Thomas Hammer was charged with incest, first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sexual assault.
Randy Hammer was being held on $160,000 bond at the North Central Regional Jail. Thomas Hammer and Paul Hammer were each being held on $75,000 bond at the North Central Regional Jail.
