Suspect sought for robbery

Parkersburg Police are looking for Jonathon Rager, a suspect in two armed robberies of video lottery parlors this week, police said.

A warrant was issued in Wood County Magistrate Court today for Rager, 38, of 3109 Broad St., Apartment B, Parkersburg, on one count of second-degree robbery. Police Chief Joe Martin said that although the warrant only relates to Monday’s theft of money from River City Perk at 1622 Seventh St. Rager is a suspect in a similar theft from the City Perk at 3509 Emerson Ave. on Tuesday.

Rager is also wanted by the West Virginia Division of Corrections on a parole violation, according to a release from Parkersburg Police.

In both incidents, the suspect presented a clerk with a note demanding money and saying he had a gun.
