Rollover sends 1 to MMH
MARIETTA – Rescuers from the Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to help remove a Graysville woman from her SUV after the vehicle rolled onto its side just north of Gun Club Road on Sunday morning.
Loretta J. Bohannon-Brinkley, 51, was driving a Dodge Durango north on Ohio 821 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and skirted about 70 feet of guardrail before rolling over an embankment and coming to rest on its side.
According to investigating Trooper Cody Quattlebaum with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Marietta post, Bohannon-Brinkley was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He said Bohannon-Brinkley was the only occupant in the vehicle and the windshield and supports as well as the steering wheel had to be removed in order to extricate her from the driver’s seat.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and Quattlebaum said charges are pending.
