OVU to host annual lectureship series

VIENNA – Ohio Valley University will present its 56th annual Lectureship Series April 6-9 at the main campus in Vienna.

This year’s theme is Perseverance in Faith: Studies in Hebrews. Classes and lectures are free and open to the public.

Keynote speakers are:

* Harold Shank presenting Jesus: The One and Only, 7 p.m. April 6.

* Bill Craddock presenting Jesus: The Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-5:10).

* Steve Cloer presenting Melchizedeck (Hebrews 7:1-28), 7 p.m. April 7.

* Willie Rupert Jr. presenting A New Covenant (Hebrews 8), 11 a.m. April 8

* Dion Frazier presenting The Significance of Faith (Hebrews 10:39-11:40), 7 p.m. April 8

* Cody Balch presenting Concluding Exhortations (Hebrews 13), 11 a.m. April 9

The PACE Dinner is 4:30 p.m. April 7 in the OVU Roberts Chapel. Advanced registration is required and the cost is $12.

The Lectureship Dinner is 4:30 p.m. April 8 in the OVU Roberts Chapel. Cost is $12 and tickets may be purchased on April 7 from Sharon Woomer at OVU’s front desk or at the registration table.

Displays and representatives from the university and various brotherhood organizations will be present in the Alumni Gymnasium throughout the lectureship.

Immediately following the 2014 Lectureship series, OVU will host Barnabas Couples on April 9 and 10. The event encourages ministers under 40 and their spouses.

Shank and his wife, Sally, will host the event.
