Police search for robbery suspect

PARKERSBURG – City Police are looking for a man who tried to rob the Too Small Shop at knifepoint – until an employee drew a Taser.

According to a release from Parkersburg Police Chief Joe Martin, around 7:10 p.m. Thursday, a man entered the clothing consignment shop at 1100 Murdoch Ave. A female employee was preparing to close the shop when the suspect produced a small knife and demanded money from her.

The woman then pulled a Taser, and the suspect fled.

Officers canvassed the area looking for the suspect, but he had not been located as of this afternoon. He was described as a white male in his mid-20s and about 5-foot-10. He wore a dark-colored, hooded sweatshirt.
