Court handles two pleas, sentencing

PARKERSBURG – Four hearings took place Tuesday in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Carl Ivan Sartor, 33, 404 Stroheman St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a bill of information charging him with possession of controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver. His sentencing was set for 1 p.m. April 24 before Judge Robert Waters.

* Casey Douglas Saunders, 23, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, appeared for a hearing for a new trial date. Waters set the date for April 15, case No. 3. Saunders was indicted in a special session of the grand jury on March 7, 2013 on two counts of burglary and one count each of unlawful entry, grand larceny and destruction of property.

* Aaron Christopher Lutz, 24, 1413 Washington Ave., Parkersburg, was sentenced after his guilty plea to a burglary charge and successfully completing the drug court program. Lutz was sentenced to one to 15 years in prison suspended for two years probation. Restitution totaling $2,277.19 was awarded against Lutz. If he completes probation, the attorney fees and court fees will be waived.

* Nicholas Ryan Easton, 24, in custody at the North Central Regional Jail, pleaded guilty to a bill of information charging him with grand larceny and destruction of property. His sentencing was set for 10:30 a.m. April 20 before Judge Jeffrey Reed or continued pending his completion of the West Central Drug Court.
