WVU-P reschedules King celebration

PARKERSBURG – An event celebrating the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has been rescheduled due to weather concerns.

Monday’s “A Legacy of Peace” program at West Virginia University at Parkersburg will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the college’s activities center. The event is free and open to the public.

Keynote speaker David M. Fryson, West Virginia University’s chief diversity officer, will discuss “The Right Kind of Peace.” The event is presented by WVU-Parkersburg and DuPont Washington Works.
