Roane man charged with wife’s murder

CHARLESTON – A Roane County man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife.

Todd Anthony Honaker, 35, of Left Hand, was charged with first-degree felony murder and delivery of a controlled substance. Honaker was arrested in March when his wife died after being given a dose of a drug Honaker allegedly believed to be LSD but was actually an experimental drug.

The Associated Press reported the Charleston Gazette said an autopsy determined that Honaker’s wife died from abusing a synthetic hallucinogen known as 25b-NBOMe.

The Washington state man who allegedly supplied the drug has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Honaker is being held in Central Regional Jail.
