Marietta woman charged with grand theft

MARIETTA – A Marietta woman has been arrested on a charge of stealing from her employer.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks said Sgt. Bryan Reeder arrested Molly Jo Moore, 25, of 905 Sugar Plum Road, Marietta, on Saturday on a charge of grand theft.

The theft charge involves personal purchases which Moore allegedly billed to her employer, Lang Masonry, 405 Watertown Road, Waterford, Ohio.

Mincks said Moore allegedly utilized company credit cards to make over $25,000 in unauthorized personal purchases from Wal-Mart, DirecTV, Verizon, Thirty One, Amazon, airfare to Atlanta, Ga., and hotels in Atlanta and Nashville, Tenn., among other things.

Moore was being held in Sunday in the Washington County Jail in lieu of bond pending an appearance today in Marietta Municipal Court.
