Two arrested, one at-large in Jackson County heroin bust
RIPLEY – Law enforcement officials arrested two suspects on drug charges in Millwood Wednesday.
A third suspect remains on the run, Jackson County officials said.
Arrested were Cameron L. Rexroad, 26, Millwood, and R. Zaine Barker, 27, Millwood. Both were charged with delivery of a controlled substance.
Both suspects are being held in South Central Regional Jail. Rexroad failed to pay a bond of $150,000. Barker failed to pay a bond of $100,000.
Police are still looking for a third suspect, Dezirae Rexroad, age unknown, of Millwood.
Officers seized a quantity of black tar heroin during the raid, along with equipment such as scales, in Ravenswood and Millwood. An unspecified amount of cash and other evidence were also found, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The execution of these warrants is the result of a several month long investigation, officials said. Officials said they made purchases of heroin from the suspects during the investigation.
Dezirae Rexroad is believed to be close to Cameron Rexroad’s age, according to Patrolman Joe Cogar of the Ravenswood Police Department. The two are brother and sister, according to Cogar.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, working with the Ravenswood Police Department, executed two separate search warrants on Wednesday. One warrant was for Millwood and the other for Ravenswood.
According to Cogar, the suspects were in the Millwood location during the search.
