Traffic stop leads to drug arrest
VIENNA – The Vienna Police Department arrested a Parkersburg man after finding drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Grand Central Avenue.
Joseph C. Robinson, 46, 411 13th St., Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arrested on charges of felony possession with the intent to deliver around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Robinson was found without a valid driver’s license and did not have valid registration for the 1998 Chevrolet truck. An interior search of the car led officers to five suspected bags of marijuana, digital scales and six types of prescription medication.
Robinson was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court Wednesday night and released on an $11,000 bond.
Additional charges are pending against him, police said.
If convicted Robinson faces a possible penalty of two-to-10 years in prison.
