Bennett buys Vienna yoga studio

VIENNA – Full Circle Yoga has a new owner and staff.

Allie Bennett said she purchased the yoga studio at 1515 Grand Central Ave., Suite 10 from Lori Tofaute this summer.

Nine instructors teach several forms of yoga, including Vinyasa, hot and warm yoga, meditation, prenatal, postnatal, beginner’s yoga and soon to be offering chair yoga for those with limited mobility.

Bennett graduated from Davis & Elkins College in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in cultural tourism. After college, she became a professional photographer and a mom, she said.

“I have practiced yoga since being introduced to it in a college course and continued where I worked at YMCAs across the state and took advantage of yoga in that setting,” Bennett said.

When the opportunity to purchase the yoga studio arose, it felt like a perfect fit for her skills and background, she said. “My main function is as a marketer and behind-the-scenes person. We have an amazing staff of instructors and I try to support them any way I can,” Bennett said.

Yoga is a form of exercise that is focused on well-being physically and mentally, she said.

“You walk away from a class feeling both strengthened and refreshed. Our studio prides itself on being welcoming and allowing students to experience yoga where they currently are and assist them in reaching goals.”

There is a class for everyone depending on if you want a challenging workout (hot 90 series, hot 75) or a slower pace (Vinyasa, power flow) or even something relaxing (meditation), Bennett said.

Prenatal classes offer pregnant clients a supportive environment to prepare their bodies for labor and then regain strength on the mat with the postnatal series that incorporates the new baby within the class, she said.
