United Way meeting announced

VIENNA – The annual membership meeting of the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the United Way office, 520 Grand Central Ave.

Membership consists of 15 representatives of the four organizations that consolidated to form United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley, which were the Belpre Area United Way, Vienna United Appeal, Williamstown United Way and United Way of the Mid Ohio Valley.

David R. Hines, the 2012-13 chairman of the Board, will preside over the meeting, with Marie Foster Gnage, chairman-elect, providing the board an update on the fall campaign.

“We’re blessed to live in such a giving community,” Hines said. “The Alliance has been extremely successful in being able to provide funding for programs that promote the well-being of children and create opportunities for all individuals to thrive happily and independently.”

The 2013-14 board of directors will include: Karl Boelter (DuPont); Tony Dunn (Belpre Public Schools); Gnage (WVU-Parkersburg); Rod Hineman (retired); David Hines (Community Bank); Dr. Anna Hughes (Hughes Family Chiropractic); David McClure (Camden-Clark Medical Center); Scott Oran (Kraton Polymers); Steve Seabolt (First Energy Corporation); Katrina Stephens (Grand Central Mall); Aaron Stone (Northwestern Mutual); Karen Waller, (Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce); Linda Wigal, (Highmark State BlueCross BlueShield); Jason Wharton (Wood County Prosecuting Attorney); and Richard Wittberg (Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department).
