Police search for two suspects in robbery

PARKERSBURG – Parkersburg Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery around 7 a.m. Friday at 502 Parmaco St., Apt. 3, in south Parkersburg.

Sgt. Greg Collins with the Parkersburg Police Department said early Friday morning a 48-year-old female told officers she heard a knock at the door of her apartment from a person allegedly stating he was with the police department.

The woman opened her front door to a white male pointed a gun at her face then placing a blanket over her head, Collins said. A second male suspect entered the apartment shortly after, he said.

The two suspects went though the woman’s home taking an undisclosed amount of cash and two cellular phones before fleeing on foot.

Detectives with the crime scene unit responded to begin the investigation Friday morning. Some evidence was recovered from the home and detectives have been able to develop some leads in the case.

Detectives continue to work on the case, Collins said.
