Officials search for missing Parkersburg girl
PARKERSBURG – City police and a national agency are searching for a 16-year-old Parkersburg girl.
Megan Ellison, 16, of Parkersburg went missing on Sept. 10 with Joseph Adam Eklund, 18, of 2210 26th Ave., Parkersburg, police said.
Police said Eklund is wanted for felony grand larceny and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges. A criminal complaint filed in Wood County Magistrate Court around Sept. 10 alleges Eklund left Parkersburg in a 2007 black Hyundai without the permission of the vehicle’s owner, his grandmother.
When leaving the city, Eklund took the 16-year-old Ellison, police said, and she has since been missing.
The girl’s parents are worried for the safety of their daughter and have been in contact with the Center for Search and Investigations (CFSI) to resolve the matter, police said.
Ellison is described as 5-feet 4-inches tall and 115 pounds with blonde hair with black underneath and blue eyes. She has a “serious medical condition” and would be in need of medications, her parents said.
Ellison was last known to be in Belle, W.Va., according to police.
