Drug suspect caught in Ritchie County
HARRISVILLE – Michele Salyers of Coolville was arrested on drug charges along Dutchman Road in Ritchie County on Saturday.
West Virginia State Police said Michele Salyers and Brown “John” Salyers were allegedly in the Macfarlan area of Ritchie County Saturday. When police arrived, Brown had fled the area but Michele was apprehended by troopers.
The couple is wanted after an incident in Parkersburg near the 12th Street floodwall on Aug. 25. According to police, a camping area in the woods along the Ohio River contained an active “shake and bake” meth drug lab. The materials allegedly belonged to the pair.
They are also charged with allegedly being involving in a recent meth lab investigation in Athens County.
Salyers was arraigned in Ritchie County Magistrate Court on felony charges of purchasing/possessing chemicals related to the manufacturing of meth and operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab. She was confined to the North Central Regional Jail on $150,000 bond.
