Police seek info on armed robbery suspect

ALBANY, Ohio – No one was injured in a Monday night armed robbery of the Little General Store in Albany, Ohio, police said.

Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly said the white male who robbed the store wore a bandana over his face and yielded a handgun. Police said he entered the store around 10:30 p.m. Monday ordering the clerk to put the register money into a bag he threw on the counter.

According to reports, the man exited the store and was picked up by a second person waiting in a yellow Chevrolet Cavalier, with no license plates.

Kelly said someone witnessed the robbery taking place and followed the suspects south on Ohio 681. While following the vehicle, the witness told deputies one of the suspects began firing at him so he stopped following, police said.
