Two injured in crash on W.Va. 14

VIENNA – A head-on collision in Vienna on June 28 left two people injured.

Spencer Robinson, 65, and Elizabeth Robinson, 58, of Parkersburg were transported to Camden Clark Medical Center after their vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Chad Morganstern, 35, of Marietta around 6:50 p.m. Friday just north of the BP gasoline station on W.Va. 14, police said.

Elizabeth was flown by medical helicopter after the accident to a Charleston hospital, while Spencer was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Their conditions were unknown, officials said Monday.

According to the police report, Spencer Robinson was driving northbound on W.Va. 14 in a 2006 Pontiac Torrent when Morganstern’s 1993 GMC Sierra pickup truck went left of center and hit the Robinson vehicle head-on.

Morganstern was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital for his injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Vienna Police Department and charges are pending, police said.

Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, St. Joseph Ambulances and CCMC ambulances assisted at the crash.
