Parkersburg residents face burglary charges

PARKERSBURG – Two people were charged with burglary by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.

Alex Blake Johnson, 23, and Felicia Marie Sokolosky, 23, both of 1606 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, were arrested after deputies responded to a burglary call at 2723 Pettyville Road, the sheriff’s department said.

The caller said the suspects had left the residence carrying a television and leaving in a gold Chrysler, the department said. As deputies responded, Detective Jim Greenwalt spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted.

Deputies found the two suspects matched the description of the persons involved, the department said. The television was discarded prior to the traffic stop, but was recovered in the area of the victim’s residence, the department said.

Also recovered were three necklaces, an emergency alert bracelet and a 1984 Parkersburg South High School Patriot class ring that had been reported stolen by the homeowner who had arrived at the residence.
