Parkersburg law enforcement looking into thefts totaling $30K in losses

PARKERSBURG – Parkersburg Police Department detectives are investigating the overnight theft of equipment from Dowler Tractor Sales and Service, 1604 Dupont Road, in Parkersburg.

The theft occurred in the overnight hours between Monday and Tuesday, police said. The suspects cut a portion of fence between the tractor sales business and the T-Shirt Factory.

Two tractors were removed and apparently taken across the street between McHappy’s and Bob’s Market. Police said it appears the tractors were taken through a wooded area to the north of both businesses and out into the parking lot in the rear of Kmart where they were allegedly loaded and taken away.

The two orange Simplicity brand tractors and one orange Simplicity brand mower deck were the stolen items and valued at $30,520, officials said.

Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to contact the Parkersburg Police Department at 304-424-8444.
