Two arrested on drug charges
PARKERSBURG – Two Parkersburg residents were arrested on felony drug possesion charges around 4 p.m. Friday, police said.
Agents with the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force arrested Mickey A. Hairston, 26, and Mary Curran, 27, both of 1607 Beaver St., Parkersburg, on charges of possession with intent to deliver.
The Parkersburg S.W.A.T. Team executed a search warrant on the home, according to police reports. The search warrant was a result of surveillance operations by agents with the task force after receiving information the residents were distributing heroin.
Once the S.W.A.T. team secured the residence, agents processed the scene. Agents allegedly located suspected black tar heroin, crack cocaine, digital scales and additional paraphernalia.
Hairston was on parole from a previous charge with the task force of possession of a controlled substance in 2011.
Both suspects were arraigned Friday night in Wood County Magistrate Court, where Curran was released on bond and Hairston’s bond was set at $200,000, police said.
If convicted, Hairston and Curran could face between one to five years in prison on each of the felony charges.
The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force in comprised of the West Virginia State Police, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Parkersburg Police Department and Vienna Police Department.
