Fund set up for victims of farmers market fire
MARIETTA – A relief fund has been established for the River City Farmers Market vendors who suffered losses in the Monday fire that destroyed the Washington County Fairgrounds’ Rabbit and Poultry Building.
The River City Farmers Market Relief Fund is set up through Advantage Bank, said market president Gary Smith. The funds collected will be split among all of the vendors who lost merchandise in the fire.
Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the bank’s 226 Third St. location.
Donors should make sure to specify that their contribution is for the River City Farmers Market Relief Fund.
