Women involved in scheme sentenced

PARKERSBURG – Two women were sentenced Friday in Wood County Magistrate Court after they pleaded guilty to charges of obtaining by fraudulent schemes.

According to records in Wood County Magistrate Court, Dreama Anne Lynch, 57, 1327 21st St., Parkersburg, and Sandra K Harvey, 30, 12176 15th St., Parkersburg, were charged. Both were sentenced by Magistrate Brenda Marshall to 90 days in jail suspended for one year unsupervised probation.

They were assessed $2,540.42 in fines, restitution and court fees. Court records indicate each paid half of the amount on Friday.

According to the criminal complaint, on 28 separate occasions Harvey, a cashier at the Vienna Wal-Mart, would not charge Lynch the appropriate price for merchandise as she checked out at the store.
