Woman sentenced for grand larceny

PARKERSBURG – One sentencing took place Tuesday in Wood County Circuit Court.

Amanda Mae Bell, 25, of 313 Pickering St., Parkersburg, was sentenced after she was unsuccessfully discharged from the Anthony Center for Youthful Offenders near Lewisburg.

Judge Jeffrey Reed sentenced her to the original sentence of one to 10 years in prison with credit for 466 days served.

Bell pleaded guilty Aug. 26, 2010 to a charge of grand larceny, as charged by the January 2010 grand jury.

At first she was sentenced to one to 10 years suspended for three years probation. Later her probation was revoked and she was sentenced to the Anthony Center for six months to two years on March 12, 2012.

A motion for probation or alternative sentencing was denied.
