WesBanco holds Shadow Day

PARKERSBURG – WesBanco Parkersburg held Partners in Education Shadow Day with VanDevender Middle School on Feb. 13.

The students shadowed employees at the Market Street and Vienna Banking Centers. They were welcomed by Larry Johnson, market president, and Jonelle Merritt, assistant bank officer.

They were introduced to their Shadow Employee and went to work areas.

The students and WesBanco shadow employees were served lunch, and students were presented with tokens of appreciation and returned to school in the afternoon.

The students were required to complete an application and interview process before being selected for Shadow Day. Merritt and Brandy Caltrider, human resources/administrative secretary, interviewed each student and selected 16 students based on application proccess, interview and interest in position for which they were applying.

Employees, departments and students participating were tellers Marty Runnion, Jackie Mayhew and Belinda Haynes with students, Jeremy Perkins, Austin Heater, Alydia Hutson and Jordon Farnsworth; personal banker Terri Lane with student Brady Hunt; receptionist Lyndsay Dennis with student Maddie Evans; investment adviser Craig Dean with student Robbie Barton; training officer Dan Canada with student Tiffany Williams; trust assistants Missy Tracewell and Stacey Fleak with students Ryan Shepard and Madison Ruppenthal; and corporate banking assistants Judy Douglass and Chastidy Frederick with students Levi Blosser and Allison Morris, all at the Market Street Center.

The students shadowing at Vienna Banking Center were DeAunns Daniels with office manager Sasha Carter; Abigail Stoveken with senior personal banker Chris Truman; Andrew Miser with personal banker Laura Sims; and Rebecca Hoguewood with personal banker Janice Bailey.
