Police respond to heroin overdose

PARKERSBURG – The Parkersburg Police Department responded to a north Parkersburg house in reference to a possible heroin overdose Thursday night.

Parkersburg police arrived at the house around 7:45 p.m., according to reports.

Officers spoke to a 26-year-old female who said her 30-year-old boyfriend had taken too much heroin at one time and might have overdosed, officials said. The woman said they both had been doing the drug but he was having a bad reaction, police said.

Both people were transported to Camden Clark Medical Center for treatment, officials said. They were expected to make a full recovery.
