Parkersburg police arrest wanted Ohio man

PARKERSBURG – A man wanted on numerous charges in Ohio was arrested Wednesday morning in Parkersburg, officials said.

The Parkersburg Police Department and its canine unit, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and U.S. Marshals at 10 a.m. took Joshua Andrew Nuzum, 27, Logan, Ohio, into custody at 1023 George St. without incident, police spokesman Sgt. Greg Collins said.

Nuzum was wanted in Washington, Athens and Hocking counties on numerous charges, including 12 thefts, one burglary and one grand theft motor vehicle from Hocking County alone, Collins said.

He was processed at the Parkersburg Police Department and arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court. He was held without bond pending transfer to the North Central Regional Jail.

Nuzum was a former Warrant of the Week in August from Parkersburg police on two felony grand larceny charges.
