Handschumacher waives extradition to Ohio
PARKERSBURG – A fugitive from Ohio waived extradition Thursday in Wood County Circuit Court.
Jessica Dawn Drake Handschumacher, 25, of 1225 County House Lane, Marietta, waived an extradition to Franklin County, Ohio, where she is charged with a parole violation.
A motion for Judge Robert Waters to rule Ohio is to keep the defendant on her current prescription was denied because West Virginia does not have the authority to rule on the issue.
Two hearings from late Wednesday:
* Arron Wayne Callihan, 34, 2617 27th Ave., Parkersburg, appeared for a motions to suppress evidence. His motion was denied in part and the state conceded to allow three items to be suppressed. Waters will issue a ruling by April 19 on other items. Callihan was indicted by the January 2012 grand jury on a charge of operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory.
* Natosha Nicole Patterson, 23, 2009 16th St., Parkersburg, was sentenced after successfully completing the drug court program. Water sentenced her to four years in prison on a charge of fraudulent use of an access device and her sentence was suspended for two years probation.
