PARKERSBURG — The Mid-Ohio Valley Ballet and Academy of Fine Arts will sponsor its annual Fine Arts Day Camp for two weeks in June and July.

The camp will be noon-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday from June 24-27 and July 8-11. Pre-registration is required to attend. Family rates are available. Tuition for FADC is $80 per week.

More information and registration brochure can be obtained by calling the MOVBAFA Office at 304-422-5538 and visit the website at movbafa.com.

The schedule allows children to complete morning summer activities and lessons before attending camp and working parents can bring their child during their lunch break and pick them up after work. Children interested in the arts can attend one or both weeks.

Each week will feature different activities including dance, music, voice, dramatics and arts and crafts.

FADC is open to all area children who are 5 (must have completed kindergarten) to 11 years of age.

Camp classes and activities are presented on age appropriate levels and each child receives expert individual attention. Camp director Suzy Gunter plans and oversees all the camp activities with a staff from MOV Ballet. Guest teachers will include professional dancer and artist Kitri Held and professional educator and actor Danny Bayer.

FADC is held in the studios of the MOVB at 1311 Ann St. in Parkersburg. Formerly Nash School, the Victorian-style school house has dance classrooms, video learning room, lunchroom, music rooms, fenced in outdoor play area and a mini-stage area in the remodeled gym portion of the building where campers can practice their dramatic arts.
