Peoples Bank hosting ReStore drive in Vienna
VIENNA — Peoples Bank will sponsor a ReStore donation drive 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Peoples’ office in Vienna at 1102 Grand Central Ave.
ReStore is a program of Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
The public is invited to attend and bring donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods and building materials to be sold at Habitat’s ReStore at a fraction of the retail price.
Proceeds from items sold in ReStore are used to help build Habitat houses in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
“As folks are spring cleaning and working on home remodeling projects, donating to ReStore is a great way to get rid of unwanted items while helping families in the community who are in need of a better place to live,” said Robin Stewart, director of resource development, Habitat for Humanity MOV.
Representatives from Peoples Bank and ReStore will be available to assist with donations. A Fat Tacos food truck will be on site 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Habitat for Humanity is a Christian ministry building safe, affordable houses in partnership with homeowner families who are committed to providing sweat equity hours and taking homeowner education courses. Once the home is completed, homebuyers pay a 0 percent interest mortgage payment every month.
ReStore is open Wednesday-Saturday every week from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 600 16th St. in Vienna. ReStore will pick up large donations.
A pickup can be scheduled by calling 304-422-4828.
