Smoot Theatre to feature McDowell, Tenors and kids’ program

PARKERSBURG –The Smoot will feature musical performances in March and April.

* Country star Ronnie McDowell will perform at 8 p.m.Friday on the Smoot stage. Tickets are $30.

McDowell has a long string of hit songs, including “The King is Gone,” “I Love You, I Love You, I Love You,” “Older Women,” “You’re Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation,” “Watchin Girls Go By,” “Personally,” “You Made a Wanted Man of Me,” “All Tied Up,” “In a New York Minute” and others.

* The Smoot will also feature The Broadway Tenors at 8 p.m. Saturday, featuring Brent Barrett, David Burnham and John Cudia.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for students.

The Broadway Tenors features 17 experienced Broadway performers who can be mixed and matched for a variety of shows and performances. The show features a repertoire of 30-plus Broadway favorites including: “Something’s Coming from “West Side Story“; “Mack the Knife” from “Three Penny Opera“; “Some Enchanted Evening” from “South Pacific“; “Music of the Night” from “Phantom of the Opera” and many more, including medleys written expressly for The Broadway Tenors featuring the music of Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hammerstein and more.

The Smoot will also be offering the annual Missoula Children’s Theatre program for local youth. This year’s week-long program will conclude April 20 with shows at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. of “The Pied Piper.”

At 8 p.m. April 28, vocalist Tiffany Desrosiers will present her show “Celebrate Celine.”

Desrosiers takes audiences on a journey through all of Celine Dion’s biggest hits including “The Power Of Love,” “My Heart Will Go On,” “I’m Alive,” “Because You Loved Me,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “The Prayer”‘ and others. The show includes a 12-piece stage show with dancers and a four-piece string section.
