Honey Bee Expo set for Saturday at WVU-P

PARKERSBURG — The Mid Ohio Valley Beekeepers’ Association and the West Virginia Extension Services, will present the 17th annual Honey Bee Expo Saturday at the West Virginia University at Parkersburg campus.

Cost is $25 for an adult and $8 for kids 12 and under. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for registration and free coffee and pastries.

Brock Harpur, assistant professor in the entomology department of Purdue University, will be the featured presenter.

Krispn Given, apiculture specialist at Purdue University’s department of entomology in West Lafayette, Ind., will be conducting workshops. There will be workshops for all levels of beekeepers from beginners to advanced. There will be vendors as well.
