Photo Provided Linda Dally, chairman of the Cookeez sale at First Lutheran Church, places the date on the sign she quilted to advertise the sale each year. This year’s sale is 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 in the library at the church, 1701 19th St., where a wide variety of homemade cookies, green tomato pickles, candy, breads, and many Christmas items will be for sale.

PARKERSBURG — The fifth annual Cookeez sale will be held 10 a.m.-noon Dec. 8 at First Lutheran Church, 1701 19th St. This holiday sale gets bigger and better every year, offering many ways to “eez” into Christmas entertaining, the church said.

In addition to the homemade cookies, also available will be homemade green tomato pickles, microwaveable bowl and plate cozies, gift card holders, Rudolph candy canes, crossstitch sleds, book marks, purse caddies, Kleenex holders, fudge, muffins, banana bread and white bread, among other things.

Linda Dally, event chairman, said cookies will range from plain to fancy and will be packaged in gift bags. The price for cookies will be $5 per dozen and pickles are $5 per pint. Other items will be similarly priced.

All proceeds will support the Habitat for Humanity home being built for Natalie Enoch, a First Lutheran member.
