Twin Rivers Baptist begins Sunday School

WHIPPLE, Ohio — Twin Rivers Baptist Church, 110 D.A.V. Road, began its Fall Sunday School campaign Sept. 23 with a balloon launch.

The campaign will continue through Oct. 21 with Sunday school beginning at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. A brief opening assembly is scheduled in the church auditorium.

Those attending Sunday School will be divided into two teams, the Crushers, led by Roger Grantham, youth pastor, and the Bruisers, led by Tony Simon, children’s director.

Other special events and activities planned for the Sunday school campaign include Homecoming activities Sunday with charter members, former members and non-members who have attended the church in the past to be recognized.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and the morning worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. A pig roast and fried chicken dinner will be served after the morning service.

Homecoming Sunday starts revival services with Dan DeLong. The revival continues through Wednesday. Evening services begin at 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

DeLong is a 1975 graduate of Bob Jones University and has served in full-time ministry since then.

Other activities planned for the Sunday School campaign include:

* Oct. 7, Senior Day is scheduled with valet parking available for senior citizens over age 75. An Old-Fashioned Sunday will also be observed that Sunday with many of those attending to be wearing “old-fashioned” clothing.

* Oct. 14, Rally Day will be observed with those attending encouraged to wear the jersey of their favorite team.

* Oct. 21, Parents Day will be held with parents of all children attending to be recognized and to receive a gift.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday, followed by the morning worship service at 10:30.

Other services each week are the evening worship service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, and the midweek service at 7 p.m. each Wednesday.
