Yard sale

PARKERSBURG — Five local historical groups will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the City Park Pavilion. Admission is free. The participating groups will be the Centennial Chapter of the Daughters of the American Pioneers, Wirt County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Pioneers, Henderson Hall Plantation volunteer group, New Era School and Wood County Historical Society. Proceeds will benefit the organizations.

The Gathering

BELPRE — The sixth annual Gathering sponsored by Belpre Area Churches will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Civitan Park. There will be free food, music, games and other attractions.

Pig roast

MINERAL WELLS — The Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual pig roast from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at the fire station on W.Va. 14. The cost is $8. Carry-out available by calling 304-489-2340. Proceeds go to support firefighter training.

Cody’s Cruise-In

PARKERSBURG — Cody’s Cruise-In will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday at McDonald’s at 1000 Division St. The entry fee is $10, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and t-shirts. The event is in memory of SPC. Cody R. Swap meet and cruze-in

VIENNA — The Tweedle’s Fall Swap Meet and Car Cruze-In will be Saturday at Jackson Memorial Park. The swap meet will be 7-11:30 a.m. at the Vienna Community Building. The cruze-in will be 4-8 p.m. at the Jackson Park Pool parking lot. Admission is $5 for the swap meet and the entry fee is $10 per vehicle for the cruze-in. The goal of the event is to rais money for the Humane Society.

Moose Senior Dance and Dinner

PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Moose Lodge will host the monthly Senior Dance and Dinner from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Lodge on W.Va. 95. This event is free and open to all area seniors 55 and over. Dress is casual.
