Edison Middle School’s sixth-grade Empowerment Class, led by teacher Katie Radcliff, gathered produce out of the school’s community garden to donate and deliver to the food pantry at Old Man Rivers. This Empowerment class is part of a program which encourages students to take ownership of and become accountable for their own education as they learn about careers and their real world applications.
