Signed guitar given to SW Resources gala fundraiser

PARKERSBURG — Rick Modesitt and Associates has donated an RMA Star Guitar signed by numerous recording stars to SW Resources for its annual fundraising event.

The SW Resources Party with a Purpose benefit gala starts 5 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Parkersburg Country Club. Tickets are $75 for singles and $125 for couples.

The guitar was signed by many artists, including Hank Williams Jr., Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, Bret Michaels, Aaron Lewis, Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll, The Guess Who, Joe Diffie, Dan and Shay, The Orchestra (former members of ELO) and Arron Tippin.

SW Resources is dedicated to giving employment opportunities to those with disabilities. Rick Modesitt’s brother, Gary R. Hellberg, worked at SW Resources for more than 40 years and “helped give him a meaningful life,” Modesitt said.
