Steve Hussey, Jake Eddy to perform at Parkersburg City Park

PARKERSBURG — The Artsbridge Summer Music in the Park concert series will feature Steve Hussey and Jake Eddy at 7 p.m. today at Parkersburg City Park in the bandshell.

In case of rain, the concert will be relocated to the horseshoe pit shelter.

Hussey and Eddy started working together in 2014. Hussey is a well-known regional songwriter in the Mid-Ohio Valley. He owns and operates Merf Records in Washington, W.Va.

Eddy is a West Virginia state flat picking champion and multi-instrumental virtuoso who has played with bluegrass legend Melvin Goins’ band.

They have recorded a full-length LP, “The Miller Girl.” The title song has been nominated for Best Bluegrass Song by the Independent Music Awards.

The Summer Music series is hosted by Artsbridge and tonight’s performance is sponsored by the Blennerhassett Hotel.

The free concert is open to all with donations accepted to benefit Arts Education programming in the local schools.

Lambert-Tatman Funeral Homes will be providing free water.
