Mishoe performed with SYBC on multiple occasions as a young dancer. The Mishoes have been teaching dance most of their lives. While teenagers training in their hometowns of Neptune, N.J., and Huntington, W.Va., the Mishoes occasionally taught at their own dance studios, The Art Center School of Dance and The Academy of Dance Arts.

From 1999-2008, while enjoying dance careers with Boston Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, independent choreographers and in self-produced performances in Boston and Amsterdam, Netherlands, the Mishoes worked with dancers of all ranks from Boston Ballet and Dutch National Ballet as well as students of all ages and abilities from Boston Ballet School, Dutch National Ballet School and dance organizations throughout The Netherlands.

During this time, Shayne Mishoe also became a certified Pilates and GYROTONIC® instructor at Boston Bodyworks Studio, where she trained students of all ages and from all walks of life. From 2008-2013, she was Ballet Mistress for Trey McIntyre Project.

In addition to rehearsing and staging Mr. McIntyre’s works on TMP, she taught at Point Park University, Boston Conservatory, Milwaukee University, Milwaukee Ballet and Snowy Range Dance Festival on behalf of TMP.

In 2012, Mishoe was on the faculty at the Royal Academy of Dance Summer Intensive in Long Beach, Calif., and a guest teacher at Red Bank Regional High School’s Dance Program. In the summer of 2014 he was a contestant on Season 9 of “America’s Got Talent” and his act, Blue Journey, made it to the Top 12.

Since 2008, the Mishoes have owned and directed The Academy of Dance Arts in Tinton Falls, N.J. In 2016 and 2018 they received the Outstanding Teacher award at the Youth America Grand Prix semi finals. Their students have had numerous successes, including joining professional dance companies, moving on to professionally geared dance schools, and receiving dance scholarships.
