History program

MARIETTA — The Castle and Marietta College History and Education Departments will host a presentation titled “Interpreting the African American Experience” by Cheyney McKnight at 6 p.m. Saturday in Room 124 of Thomas Hall at Marietta College. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited.

Ice Cream Social

BELPRE — The Belpre High School Alumni Association will hold its Ice Cream Social and Cruise-In from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Howes Grove Park. The event is the group’s primary fundraiser to support several scholarships it provides for Belpre High School graduates. The social will include live music from Jim Gustafson, along with hot dogs, ice cream, desserts and classic cars. The Cruise-In registration will be $10 and the first 50 entries will receive a dash plate. Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third places.

Wendy’s Cruise-In

PARKERSBURG — Pioneer Antique Auto Club will hold its Wendy’s Cruise-In from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the South Side Wendy’s at 2602 Gihon Road. The registration fee is $15. There will be free T-shirts for the first 100-plus cars entered. Door prizes and drawings begin at 6 p.m. Tractors and motorcycles are also welcome. The July theme is “American Pride.”

ATV Dice Run

MINERAL WELLS — Parkersburg Toys for Tots will host an ATV dice run Saturday beginning at 4427 Sams Creek Road. Sign-ups begin at 10 a.m. with the first bike out at noon. Last bike in at 5 p.m. There will be food at the end for all riders, raffles, music and 50/50 drawing. The cost is $15 per bike and $5 per passenger. All proceeds benefit Toys for Tots to help provide Christmas for children from Wood, Washington, Wirt and Jackson counties.

Third Sunday Dinner

CUTLER — The Cutler Community Center will hold its next Third Sunday Dinner from noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the community center, 4550 Two Mile Run Road. Meals are $7 for adults or $4 for children and all proceeds benefit the Cutler Community Center. July’s dinner is hosted by the Cutler Men’s Group; on the menu is hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade desserts and drinks. There will be live musical entertainment.
