ST. MARYS — The St. Marys Downtown Yard Sale will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature yard sale items, baked goods, produce and specialty items. All vendors must contact the Pleasants Area Chamber of Commerce at 304-684-9909 if they plan to sell.

Motorcycle Poker Run

SANDYVILLE — Parkersburg Toys for Tots will host a motorcycle poker run Saturday beginning at the Mountaineer Inn, 3662 Parkersburg Road. Sign ups begin at 9 a.m. with the last bike out at noon. Stops include Mineral Springs Pub, Rendezvous, D’s Saloon, 87 Carryout, Roundhouse and Fairplain Yacht Club. Final stop at the Mountaineer Inn by 5 p.m. There will be food, raffles and 50/50 drawing. The cost is $10 per bike or $15 for couple. All proceeds benefit Toys for Tots to help provide Christmas for children from Wood, Washington, Wirt and Jackson counties. Amateur Radio Field Day

PARKERSBURG — Wood County Emergency Communications will hold its annual Field Day on Saturday and Sunday in Walker.

The Field Day will begin at 2 p.m. The group will set up antennas and radio equipment at five different locations and run for 24 hours through 2 p.m. Sunday.

This is a 24-hour event where amateur radio operators can contact other operators around the world. The event is open to the public at 163 Henderson Farm Drive, Walker, about four miles along Laurel Creek Road off Old St. Marys Pike.

The Parkersburg Amateur Radio Club will hold its annual 24-hour field day starting 2 p.m. Saturday at Fort Boreman Park in Parkersburg.

Fundraiser

PARKERSBURG — Parkersburg Homecoming and the Actors Guild of Parkersburg are teaming up for a fundraiser at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Cox Building on Market St., next to the Guild Playhouse.

Ticket holders will meet the cast of the “Little Shop of Horrors” with music and refreshments for all ages.

Tickets are $40 by calling 304-871-1483 or at Buttermore Jewelers.

Proceeds benefit Homecoming and there will be announcements about special and new events at this year’s festival.
