PARKERSBURG — The YMCA of Parkersburg is hosting free activities Saturday for kids and adults.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the facility at Broad and 30th streets, Healthy Kids Day will take place.

That same day, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Community Fitness Mash-up will be offered for adults.

Healthy Kids Day will provide kids yoga, facepainting and swimming. There will be sports, crafts and learning about the YMCA’s healthy programs.

Games, door prizes and raffles are included in the day for kids and their families. Local vendors and the fire department will participate, said the YMCA.

Healthy Kids Day, which lasts until noon, is described as a good way to kick start the summer.

Community Fitness Mash-up, also free to the public, members and non-members, will showcase exercise programs such as Zumba, Pound, Power, Step and Pilates.

Child watch, door prizes and membership discounts will be available, said the YMCA. Tours of the facility and information sessions are included during this open house.
