Market Street to host ArtOberfest Saturday
Admission is $5 per person
PARKERSBURG — ArtOberfest, a family friendly German-style arts fair, will be 4-10 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Market Street.
The event is sponsored by the art center, Downtown PKB, Parkersburg Brewing Co., Artsbridge, Mango Latin Bistro, and Parkersburg YMCA. Admission is $5 per person with children 12 and under free.
The entertainment includes: student groups from 4-6 p.m.; Oompa with Scott Kitchen at 6 p.m.; Steve Hussey Band at 7 p.m.; Oompa with Scott Kitchen at 8 p.m.; and Mother Tucker Quartet from Athens, Ohio, at 9 p.m.
Vendors at the art fair will include Parkersburg Photo Club; Parkersburg Art Center Studio; Mike Penn, pen and ink realistic renderings of historic buildings; Madeline Grant, poured acrylic panels, pop culture jewelry, resin paperweights; Lavana Lemley, surreal animal sculptures, mugs and blankets printed with these images; and Ginny Killian, mixed media works on canvas.
Kids crafts will be provided by volunteers from Artsbridge and the Parkersburg High School Key Club.
Parkersburg Brewing Co. will be offering brewery tours every hour on the hour, free of charge.
