Homecoming contest planned in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG – The Parkersburg Homecoming Festival will again hold its Best Seats in the House contest.

The sponsor is Value City Furniture, which will provide two recliners to be placed in front of the main Suddenlink stage for the major concerts during the homecoming on Aug. 15, 16 and 17. At the conclusion of the concert, the winner of the seats can take them home.

“We are happy to be a sponsor of the Parkersburg Homecoming in this unique promotion, which not only allows a lucky winner to see great concerts, but to also win two new recliner chairs,” said Tony Green, manager of Value City Furniture.

Entry forms for the drawing are at Value City Furniture at the Lakeview Plaza at Lakeview and Murdoch avenues. No Purchase is necessary.

The drawing will be held 1 p.m. Aug. 13.

“We have three nights of great free entertainment and this is a fun way to celebrate Parkersburg and the Parkersburg Homecoming by winning two new recliner chairs and to also have the best seats in the house at the Suddenlink Stage,” Chuck Lipps, entertainment coordinator for the homecoming, said. “It is all about having a great time at a long-time Parkersburg event.”

Performing this year are Restless Heart on Aug. 15, Almost Queen on Aug. 16 and The Guess Who on Aug. 17.
