Alzheimer’s group to hold free workshops
PARKERSBURG – The Alzheimer’s Association West Virginia Chapter will hold free community workshops for newly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.
The Living with Alzheimer’s workshop series will be 5:30 p.m. Sept. 8, 15 and 22 at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Parkersburg office, 1218 Market St.
Living with Alzheimer’s Program is a three-part series: Understanding the Basics, Resource Building and Dealing with the Changes. The workshop is an opportunity for individuals regardless of age who have recently received an Alzheimer’s diagnosis to remain active while sharing experiences with others who are living with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
At the conclusion of the series, participants can become involved in Early Stage Support Groups in their local communities.
An RSVP is required by calling 800-272-3900 and a brief consultation will be conducted prior to entrance in the program.
