MC Relay For Life slated to begin today

MARIETTA – The Marietta College chapter of Colleges Against Cancer will hold its five-hour team based walking miniature American Cancer Society Relay For Life beginning 6 p.m. today at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center at the college.

The event, which involves dozens of Marietta College students, faculty and residents, starts with the survivor’s lap of all cancer survivors in attendance. Survivors will receive a purple survivor shirt.

With the theme Finish the fight, the event runs until 11 p.m. At 9 p.m., a luminaria ceremony will be held to remember those who have fallen from cancer and honors cancer survivors. Luminaria can be purchased at the event up until the ceremony.
