Weather postpones area luggage drive

PARKERSBURG – The Give Thanks and Carry On luggage collection drive in Parkersburg has been postponed until Dec. 5 because of bad weather.

The drive, being held by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin and representatives from Mission West Virginia Inc. and the West Virginia Children’s Home Society, was originally scheduled to take place today.

The drive is now scheduled to take place at The Easton Center, 1717 St. Marys Ave., Parkersburg, at 1 p.m. Dec. 5. The drive will be collecting personal care items and comfort items for children in transition to the West Virginia foster care system.
