Williamstown Bank to open in Lubeck
WILLIAMSTOWN –Williamstown Bank will open a new office in Lubeck in early 2020, the board of directors and senior management of the bank have announced.
The Lubeck area has been without a financial institution for more than two years, so Williamstown Bank sees a need that it could fill with a full service location, the bank said. Renovations are underway at a former bank location on Harris Highway.
“As a locally owned and operated community bank, we are excited for the opportunity to provide the Lubeck area the products and services for which we are known, along with providing local customer service. We believe we will be a great fit for the community,” said E.K. Sleeth, president and CEO of Williamstown Bank.
Williamstown Bank has two locations, in Williamstown and on east 7th Street in Parkersburg, and has an asset size of approximately $170 million.
The new location will feature a non-traditional floorplan with space designed for use by the public, and will provide services such as new accounts, loans, digital banking, and the use of interactive teller machines to provide expanded business hours for customers.
“We understand the need for personalized customer service along with the convenience and technology that customers desire in today’s world,” Sharon Anderson, Senior Vice President, said. “There will be features of our new office that will allow us to give back to the community organizations in our area, and we cannot wait to share more in the coming months about our vision for Lubeck.”
Williamstown Bank was founded in 1919 and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
“Few businesses make it 100 years, and we are proud to still be locally owned and operated with an opportunity to grow and expand into another community,” said Alan Criss, chairman of the board.
