Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce plans events
MARIETTA – The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will hold several events in the coming weeks.
Hops, Vines and Cuisine, the 2019 MACC Member Showcase, will be held 5-7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Glenwood Community, 200 Timberline Drive, Marietta.
The Boost Your Business Workshop will be held 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huntington Bank, 226 Third St. The topic is “The Do’s and Don’ts of Social Media” with featured speaker Kristen Meeks of WV Social Media Consultants.
Light breakfast refreshments and coffee provided by Huntington Bank on Third Street in Marietta. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP by emailing email@example.com..
Boost Your Business is a monthly workshop of the Chamber of Commerce.
The monthly Coffee Chat will be held 8:30-9:30 a.m. Sept. 27 in the chamber Conference Room at 100 Front Street, Suite 200. The event is free.

The Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council will meet 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Valley Gem Sternwheeler, 531 Front St., Marietta.
Registration and boarding will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the boat will depart at 11 a.m. and return at 1 p.m.
The topic is “A Celebration of the Grand Award from the Ohio BWC.” Speaker is Administrator Stephanie McCloud and Michelle Francisco, Safety Council Program manager, for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety and Hygiene.
The cost is $15 for members (includes lunch). Membership in Safety Council is open to representatives of business and industry in the Mid-Ohio Valley interested in improving safety awareness in the work place.
The annual membership fee is $50 per company.
The Professional Women’s Roundtable, sponsored by the chamber, will meet Sept. 25 at Wildroot Flower Co., 315 Forshey Road, Marietta.
The topic is “Make and Take Succulent Workshop” with featured speaker Lyndsay Biehl of the Wildroot Flower Co.
